Other Services

As well as the services listed in the menu at the side the iTEV unit can and does provide other specialised services to it's clients with respect to operational set up and any other further support issues identified that are identified through the life of the venture.

Operational Set-Up

The delivery of a learning program to its full operational efficiency and effectiveness is a non-trivial matter. iTEV will assist in setting up the operation, often bringing in a “set-up team”, training Faculty personnel and sourcing additional staff, either for full-time or contract positions. Operational set-up is broadly grouped into the areas of technology services and operational support systems (OSS) set-up.

TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

iTEV will work to provide learning technology services, either by bringing an outside supplier of service or by negotiating the provision of University IT services, such as ITS, Emerging Technologies, ITL or the Major Projects Group, or by supporting in-house technology groups. The choice of technology support will be decided on a program-by-program basis but any of the following services may be drawn upon either singularly or as in combination with one another

Learning Technologies

iTEV will advise the Faculty on the application of learning technologies to education ventures, working closely with the Academic Team to implement these technologies where there are clear benefits to be derived from their use.

Managed Learning Environment (MLE)

The MLE consists of he applications, systems and technologies that enable the efficient development and delivery of flexible learning programs. Typically the MLE will encompass the Learning Management System (MLS) along with systems supporting Continuous Publishing and Content management. iTEV will work with The University community to develop standards for the University’s MLE

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT SYSTEMS (OSS) SET-UP

In association with general operational set-up, iTEV will either directly provide, or work to have implemented, the OSS necessary for full program delivery and support. The OSS for a flexible learning program will include the MLE along with a Student Mnagement System (either FlexSIS or a system which interfaces with FlexSIS), administrative support, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to manage all student (i.e. customer) contacts and to provide valuable marketing information, along with a workflow management system.

Continued Support and Other Specialised Services

From time-to-time programs will require other specialized services and sources of funding and capital-raising. Whatever the specific need, iTEV will act to source and deliver the service to the program or Faculty.
