Review of Postgraduate Coursework Programs
The Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Don Nutbeam, established a steering group to review the postgraduate coursework programs offered by the University. This is being undertaken for a number of reasons including the need to ensure that the direction of postgraduate coursework mirrors the University’s strategic goals, assists the University in strengthening its competitive advantage, and to ensure that faculties have the opportunity to be flexible in relation to disciplinary advances.
A Steering Group led by the Acting Deputy Provost (Learning and Teaching) and Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Derrick Armstrong, will oversee the activities of the Review. These will include focus groups with students and employer groups, an on-line survey of postgraduate coursework students, and the establishment of this website to facilitate communication about the Review and to receive general submissions from members of the University community.
It is anticipated that this Review will lead to the clarification of the role of postgraduate coursework programs and the clear articulation of our vision for the future.
Postgraduate coursework students can participate by visiting our survey page. Other interested parties can make submissions by visiting the submissions page.
