lease download the Assignment Coversheet provided on the Course Materials page.  The coversheet will be the first page of your assignment.  Save it with the name you intend to use for the assignment, and begin your answer on the second page.  Make sure you complete the Assignment Coversheet by entering in your Full Name and Address Details and the Date you lodged your assignment on the Webcampus. Next to “Signed”, type your name to acknowledge that the assignment is your own work. Submit one document only.

LEC WEBCAMPUS ONLINE REGISTRATIONS

ALL students (existing and new) please register online between Thursday 22 October 2009 and Friday 30 October 2009, (even if you have an application pending with the LPAB). Registering early ensures that you have access to the LEC Webcampus prior to the commencement of lectures.

NSW Young Lawyers Animal Law Committee is currently holding it's annual Animal Law Essay Competition. There are cash prizes and the chance to be published in the Australasian Animal Protection Law Journal. For topics and more information, click here.

The Course Information Handbook in recent years has included a section “Conduct, Character and the Study of Law”. Principles of behavior appropriate to the environments in which our program is offered have been gathered into one foundation document. Click here for a draft copy. You are welcome to make suggestions. It will be part of the obligations of all involved with the LEC program to become familiar with, and abide by, the Code.

CANCELLATION OF LECTURE

Please note that it has been necessary to cancel the lecture scheduled for Wednesday 2 December. All lecture topics will be pushed back one week and lectures for this semester will now finish on Wednesday 24 February (Week 13). The due date for the assignment will also be pushed back until after the study break. We will confirm the exact date as soon as possible.

CANCELLATION OF LECTURE

Louis Pierotti has asked us to inform students that he will be taking the first weekend school, but that there will be no class on 18 December. CHANGES TO TIMETABLE

Please note the following changes to the Family Law timetable:
Topic 6 Violence will be taught on 25 November and Topic 5 will be taught on 2 December.

Weekend school 28 and 29 November: Alexandra will be teaching Topics 6 and 7 on Saturday morning and Andrea will be teaching Topics 1 to 5 on Sunday afternoon. Andrea's session is relevant for the assignment.

11/11/09 The notes for Topic 6 have been updated. In order to get maximum benefit, the lecturer has recommended that students take a copy of the revised notes to the scheduled lecture.

Andrew Fox has asked us to notify students that, due to his involvement in a videolink directions hearing, he may be late to the lecture on Monday 16 November. He has asked that students attending the lecture wait at the venue until 6.30 pm. While he is hopeful that he will be able to get to the lecture by then, if he is not, students should go home and he will give them some notes for that class.
