PRACTICAL LEGAL TRAINING

To become a legal practitioner in New South Wales it is necessary to satisfy the requirements of the Legal Profession Admission Board.

The normal study path for entry to the legal profession begins with undertaking either the Board's examinations, or a law degree from an accredited law school. Then, in order to be eligible for admission to practice, it is necessary to complete an accredited program of practical legal training (PLT).

For more information on admission as a legal practitioner, please see the Legal Profession Admission Board website.
