The Medical Humanities Community

Local

The richness of the medical humanities experience arises from your interaction with other students, practitioners, artists and fellow explorers. In addition to teaching and research, the Medical Humanities Unit runs various extracurricular events and a bi-monthly newsletter with articles, news and event listings from around Australia.

We welcome involvement in the growing Medical Humanities community (whether you are a student of ours or not). If you have ideas about how you would like to get involved, or would like information about your organisation or event communicated to Medical Humanities alumni, students and other community members, please contact us.

International

Our international "sister" centre is the Centre for the Arts and Humanities in Health & Medicine, located at the University of Durham in the UK.

We are also closely linked with the superlative Medical Humanities program at Dalhousie University, Halifax.

We also have links to the medical humanities programs at
