Although it is possible to study full-time, these degrees have been designed especially for students who are balancing work with other commitments. By studying just one unit per semester, you can complete a Graduate Certificate over two years, a Graduate Diploma over three years and a Masters degree over four years. If, on the other hand, your time is limited, you can actually complete the Masters degree in one year of full-time study (see "Courses"). For each unit that you undertake, you should assume two hours of formal contact time (in seminars/tutorials/online engagement) matched by about six hours of private study per week. Semesters run for 13 weeks, from March to June and from July to November. Many face-to-face units are timetabled in the late afternoon and early evening in order to be accessible for as many students as possible. There are also units of study available online for students who are unable to attend lectures on campus. Some of the units offered by the Summer and Winter Schools may also be accepted as elective units.
