Creative Doctors' Network
A regular meeting of doctors who are interested in the arts and creativity is held at the AMA House, 69 Christie Street, St Leonards.
Dr Tony Chu established the group in 2007, and the group has steadily grown since then.
The CDN is currently laying plans for future events and projects, including guest speakers, collaborative creative projects, and the promotion of the creative process as a means to to maintain every doctor’s emotional well-being.
The Canberra GPs Creative Writing Group has recently edited and published a book of stories called 'Heart Murmurs'.
All of the stories are based on real life experiences (with identifying details changed), and are a diverse and inspiring read, and beautifully illustrated.
Copies can be obtained from the Coast City Country Training website www.ccctraining.org - follow links to publications where you can download the order form.
The books are $20 each with all proceeds going to Refugee Health.
AusDoc is publishing a series of the stories in next few editions.
For more details about the book or the creative writing group, please contact Dr Joo-Inn Chew on 02 62627192 or 0422268657, or email .
