Australian Mekong Resource Centre
The Australian Mekong Resource Centre (AMRC) is a resource centre of the University of Sydney. Established in 1997 and located within the School of Geosciences, AMRC is a leading international centre of expertise on development, natural resource management and the environment in the Mekong Region. The Centre is devoted to research, education and community engagement. AMRC is a focal point for information, dialogue and activities in support of an equitable and sustainable development path for the region.
By fostering a deeper and wider understanding of contemporary changes in the Mekong Region, AMRC aims to support development paths that maintain the integrity, diversity and symbiosis of local livelihoods, cultures and ecosystems.
