Kids Museums - Ancient Olympic Games Day
Sunday 10 August
Nicholson Museum
12 noon - 4pm
While Australia's top athletes compete at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, this special event at the Nicholson Museum is a chance for families to explore the origin of the Olympic movement and learn about its place in the ancient Greek world.
Kids and their parents will explore the history of the Games through a series of talks, dress-ups and hands-on activities, designed to show what sports were originally played, and what athletes did.
