University Museums Adult Education Program

The University Museums' Adult Education Program has one philosophy: history, science and the arts are fun. We want to share this fun and our passion for the collections with as many people as possible.

We offer a number of different options for the visitor to the University Museums who wants to explore our fascinating collection in more depth with one of our education officers.

Option 1: A one-hour tour of the public galleries

Held at 2pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.

The cost is only $5 per person (GST inclusive).

Perfect for the individuals or small groups, this is a guided tour of the museum collections with one of our Education Officers who will explain the meaning behind the items on display.

Option 2: A group booking

Bookings available anytime for two-hour and three-hour sessions.

The cost is $12 per person for a two-hour visit and $16.00 per person for a three-hour visit (all GST inclusive).

Senior and pensioner discounts are available ($10 for a two-hour visit, and $12 for a three-hour visit).

Perfect for clubs and societies, social groups and larger parties (minimum participation number for a two-hour tour is 15, for a three-hour tour is 20).

Many adult groups have participated in University Museums Education Programs over the years, including Probus groups, University of the Third Age groups, ADFAS groups, University and TAFE students, art, design and drama students, historical societies, walking groups and retirement villages.
