Noel Chettle Student Art Award and Exhibition

This is the 31st anniversary of the Noel Chettle Student Art Prize at the Tin Sheds Art Workshops. Established in 1978 by Mrs. E.M. Chettle, in memory of her late husband Noel Chettle, the prize was "in support of his interest in the encouragement of youthful ideas in art". Over the years the endowment from Mrs. Chettle has grown to quite a substantial value that is awarded to the prize winners across all Tin Sheds art workshops.
The exhibition of student works on show this year include General Drawing and Life Drawing, Ceramics Wheelwork and Handbuilding, Mixed Media and Printmaking, Digital Video and Web Art and Design, Object Design and Graphic Design, Painting and Sculpture, Photography as well as Site Specific Art and Materials, Process and Context.
This exhibition gives students the opportunity to show their friends, family and fellow students the artwork that their diligence, perseverance and creativity have helped produce under the tutelage of our professional staff.
