Health Informatics Conference 2009

A number of Health Informatics Research & Evaluation Unit (HIREU) staff participated in the Health Informatics Society of Australia Health Informatics Conference held in Canberra during 19 - 21 August 2009.

The conference this year was addressed by a number of key note speakers who drew attention to the bold plans for health IT innovation over the coming years.
A HIREU highlight of the conference was the presentation of Julie Li's ePoster: "The challenges of using technology in a busy Emergency Department" which was based on Julie's Honours work in 2008. The presentation was well attended and resulted in a lively discussion.
