Professor Westbrook gave an invited keynote presentation at a recent patient safety workshop in Italy.
Dr Andrew Georgiou, Senior Research Fellow, recently presented two papers at the Medical Informatics Europe congress.
We have up to ten PhD scholarships available commencing 2010 and 2011. Candidates are invited from a variety of academic backgrounds such as, but not limited to: sociology, psychology, medicine, informatics, science, public health, computing and pharmacy.
A new publication by the HIREU, "Does Computerized Provider Order Entry Reduce Prescribing Errors for Hospital Inpatients? A systematic review", has recently appeared in the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association.
