The first formal dinner of the semester offered a great excuse for residents to brush up into their nicest suits and dresses. The evening began with pre-drinks in the Wool Room where residents casually mingled with staff members and guests whilst enjoying a selection of beverages and a variety of appetisers.

To the enjoyment of all attendees Dr Michael Robertson, a Consultant Psychiatrist and a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Values, Ethics and the Law in Medicine at the University of Sydney held a very animating speech on professional ethics in modern society. The speech sparked a lively discussion between Dr Robertson and several residents as well as alumni.

Les, the IH catering manager, went to great lengths in organising a wonderful meal in the dining hall. The room was well decorated and great meals were prepared - including fish, steak and an assortment of salads and vegetarian dishes. There was a great atmosphere throughout the dinner with lively conversation drifting through the dining hall.

After dessert most residents casually mingled in the dining hall and posed for an exorbitant number of cameras, as there seemed to be more cameras than residents.

One by one residents slowly retired to their rooms to get dressed and go out to celebrate one of our senior resident's 21st birthday at Retro Bar near darling harbour.

Thank you very much to everyone involved in organising the event.
