Both Mr John Duckworth and Associate Professor Alan Jones were presented with the award last year in recognition of their sustained and ongoing contributions to improving OHS awareness and processes at the University of Sydney.

For example, John Duckworth was responsible for establishing OHS induction programs for trades and contractor staff to ensure their safety when working in the School of Chemistry, particularly in laboratories and other hazardous environments.

Alan Jones was a driving force in enhancing safety standards for both radiation and laboratories. Both John and Alan had been representatives on OHS committees.
