- Mark Compton, Research Fellow 1984-1988, has been made a Member of the Order of Australia for service to the community, particularly through St John Ambulance Australia and through executive and volunteer roles with a range of hospital, health care and medical research organisations.

- Graham Johnston has been honoured with a Festschrift on 'Molecular Pharmacology of Amino Acid Transmitters: From Cryptic to Contemporary Drug Targets' 28-29 November sponsored by ASCEPT, RACI, the Adrien Albert Laboratory of Medicinal Chemistry and the Faculty of Pharmacy.
- Kellie Charles has been awarded a Cancer Institute NSW Innovation Grant of $50,000 on "A proteomic approach to identify predictive biomarkers of molecular targeted drugs".
