The recruitment process
Our new positions portal is revolutionising recruitment at the University of Sydney.
We start by advertising all our senior executive appointments through newspapers, online job boards, or an academic publication. The ads direct applicants to this site for selection criteria and a detailed position summary and, of course, how to apply. But remember, even though the recruitment process is conducted completely online now, you can always phone or email Sydney Recruitment for service.
Once you’ve submitted your application, you’ll receive an email confirming its receipt. A team member from Sydney Recruitment will compile a shortlist for the hiring manager and selection committee. If your application is unsuccessful, we’ll let you know at the earliest possible time.
The hiring manager will then review the shortlist before conducting interviews. If successful, you will receive a finalised letter of offer at the earliest time.
