Fleet Management
The mission of the Fleet Management Office for the University of Sydney is to deliver and maintain a safe, environmentally friendly, cost effective and fit for purpose means of transportation to allow staff to fulfill their duties effectively.
In order to achieve this mission, the following guidelines shall be practiced:
- Create a safe working environment by thoroughly researching operational and environmental vehicle requirements, and recommending the most fit for purpose vehicle available.
- Research and maintain industry best practices.
- Maintain robust purchasing and remarketing practices through a transparent and controlled tendering program.
- Capture and report on all operational data to maintain whole of vehicle life integrity.
- Manage and maintain vehicle service and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
- Use continuous improvement practices to optimize internal and external client service.
- Establish, practice, review and develop motor vehicle policy and procedure.
