Cooperative Research Centres
Sydney is a participant in 12 Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs). In 2005, one new CRC was established and four were renewed, in which the University is a core or supporting participant.
Sydney University is a participant in the following CRCs:
- The Australian Biosecurity CRC
- The Capital Markets CRC
- The CRC for Advanced Composite Structures
- The CRC for Asthma and Airways
- The Innovative Dairy Products CRC
- The CRC for Mining
- The CRC for Polymers
- The CRC for Internationally Competitive Pork Industry
- Cotton Catchment Communities CRC
- The Hearing CRC
- The Invasive Animals CRC
- The Smart Services CRC
We have also been involved in two other CRCs that have now been wound-up at the end of successful research programs:

- The CRC for Cardiac Technology
