About Associate Professor Abbas El-Zein
I am active in the field of environmental modelling using deterministic, stochastic and statistical approaches, with focus on computational and environmental geomechanics, as well as environmental risk. My teaching covers a range of environmental, geo-mechanical and computational topics: Environmental Geomechanics, Engineering Computing and Engineering and Society. I am also a writer working with fiction and essay forms on topics of war, migration and identity, especially in a Middle-Eastern context.
