ARC Research Networks

The ARC Research Network Program is designed to encourage collaborative approaches to research in inter-disciplinary settings. Networks link researchers, research groups and others involved in innovation; nationally and internationally.

University of Sydney science and technology researchers are involved in the University of Sydney based ARC Molecular and Materials Structure Network.

The ARC Molecular and Materials Structure Network will build powerful e-science resources for the structural sciences. Collaborative remote access will be developed for sophisticated instrumentation, including instruments planned for the Replacement Research Reactor and Australian Synchrotron. Encompassing physics, computer science, applied mathematics, chemistry and biochemistry, and catalysing interaction across these disciplines, the MMSN will impact all five National Research Priority three goals towards developing Frontier Technologies for Building and Transforming Australian Industries. The program will receive $1.5m over five years, with Dr Cameron Kepert, Senior Lecturer at the University's School of Chemistry acting as convenor for the network.
