RIAP makes an important contribution to the growth of world class research, research training, and capacity building initiatives at the University of Sydney.

RIAP facilitates research and training in a wide range of disciplines.

By identifying funding opportunities and writing research and capacity building grants, tenders and consultancies for academic staff, RIAP facilitates research and training in a wide range of disciplines including medicine, public health, governance, law, human rights, agriculture, sustainable development and economics.

RIAP also plays an important role in overseeing the implementation and financial management of research projects and consultancies in Australia and overseas.
