Research Projects

RIAP has managed and delivered a large number of international projects for various international organisations including APEC, AusAID and UN agencies. Operating under the financial and administrative systems of the University of Sydney, RIAP has the demonstrated capacity to manage finances, resources and project activities. We have successfully managed projects and consultancies ranging from small grants and tenders through to multi-year projects.

In 2008, RIAP experienced a significant expansion in its research and capacity building activities, securing 14 international research and consultancy grants for the University worth over $112 million.

Key funders included the World Bank, European Commission, United Nations Development Fund (UNDP), Australian Aid Agency (AusAID) and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). This formed part of broader RIAP efforts to promote the University of Sydney’s strategic research goals and internationalisation.
