United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)

UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is a subsidiary organ of the United Nations General Assembly, whose mandate is to address population and development issues, with an emphasis on reproductive health and gender equality, within the context of the Millennium Development Goals.

UNFPA Midwifery Curriculum
RIAP secured funding from the United National Population Fund (UNFPA) and managed the implementation of this project which aimed to develop a three year college-level midwifery curriculum appropriate to the local environment but also consistent with educational best practice and evidence based midwifery practice. The nine month project was led by Professor Jill White, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery.
