Publication Collection Specifications
Each research publication must satisfy general and specific criteria. General criteria include:
In addition to this, each publication category has further criteria that must be met which are outlined in the HERDC guidelines for each category; A1 Book, B1 Book chapter, C1 Journal article and E1 Conference publication.
Works may only be claimed ONCE. HERDC will not accept publications claimed in previous collection years, or publications in more than one category. For instance a work included in the Collection for one year as an E1, cannot be included the following year as a C1 or B1.

HERDC Deadline
31 March 2010
The closing date for each year’s HERDC collection is the 31 March of the year following the date of the publications. For example, a 2009 publication can be submitted up to 31 March 2010.
This does not mean that it is appropriate to submit an entire year’s collection on 31 March. To maximise the collection while minimising stress, please submit publications as soon as a copy becomes available throughout the year.
Publications received after 31 March (which would otherwise be eligible) cannot be guaranteed inclusion in the HERDC collection. The Research Office will make every effort to include late submissions, but if there is insufficient time or inadequate verification material provided, then the publications will likely not be included in the HERDC collection, and the relevant faculty will not get any funding for that research publication.
