Department of Innovation Industry, Science and Research (DIISR)
The Science & Research Division advises the Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research and administers Government funding programs to help Australia achieve a strong science capacity and to be engaged internationally on science to advance our social development and economic growth.
Science & Research Division liaises with the portfolio science agencies and other departments, and maintains effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in the science, research, industry and general community sectors.
Science & Research Division also provides support to the Chief Scientist of Australia, the Prime Minister’s Science, Engineering and Innovation Council and the Coordination Committee on Science and Technology.
