User Acceptance Testing
The purpose of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is to provide selected RIMS users with an opportunity to test and formally accept the application of each module and to give all users confidence that the modules will function as expected when implemented. Testers are subject matter experts from the University; the selection of RIMS users for UATs varies according to the module being tested.
User Acceptance Testing – Proposal Tracking (22 July-8 August)
The UAT process for the Proposal Tracking module will cover the following:
- Business processes / functionality
- Ensure the module satisfactorily supports grants management business processes - System robustness and reliability
- Identify and remove defects / create workarounds, if necessary - System usability
- Ensure users are able to log on and use the system and its components as required
- Identify usability defects that might not have been detected previously
Test Coordinators will be on standby during all UAT sessions to answer questions and assist with raising and managing identified defects.
In addition to User Acceptance Testing, technical specialists from ICT will carry out performance (load) testing, browser testing, Identity Management integration testing and T2 interface testing.
