Investigators into the role of the PhD in creative arts have received $100,000 towards their study.

Associate Professor Brad Buckley (Director of the Sydney College of the Arts Graduate School, University of Sydney) and Associate Professor Su Baker (Head of the School of Art, Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne) have received $100,000 from the Discipline Based Investigation Fund, Carrick Institute, an initiative of the Australian Government's Department of Education, Science and Training.

The research project Future-Proofing the Creative Arts in Higher Education: Scoping for Quality in Tertiary Creative Arts Learning, Teaching, and Research Training will investigate the role of the PhD in the creative arts in Australia.
