2nd Biennial: 01SJ Global Festival of Art on the Edge

Black Canyon

The 2nd Biennial 01SJ Global Festival of Art on the Edge is North America's newest and largest festival of digital arts. Joyce Hinterding, a lecturer in Jewellery and Object at Sydney College of the Arts and David Haines, a PhD candidate at SCA, participated in this year's Festival through Australia Council support. Their work was shown alongside other Australian artists, Adam Nash, Craig Walsh, and Genevieve Grievesa. The Festival ran from 4 June to 8 June 2008, in San Jose, California. The group was selected by Steve Dietz, the artistic director of Zero One, during his visit to Australia in 2007.

Exhibiting in Superlight at the San Jose Museum of Art, Joyce Hinterding and David Haines, will exhibit a new collaborative work titled Black Canyon and Earth Field, the work will be on display until 31 August.
