The David Harold Tribe Sculpture Award and Exhibition 2008
Sydney College of the Arts (SCA) invites applications for the David Harold Tribe Sculpture Award in the sum of $11,000.00.
The aim of the David Harold Tribe Sculpture Award is to promote interest in Sculpture and to encourage the creation of sculptural works in Australia, to help and give incentive to sculptors. The award provides them with funds that might enable them to further their education in the field of Sculpture, to improve their creative skills, and to improve the general public's appreciation of Sculpture.
The award is made available at the behest and by the generosity of Mr David Harold Tribe, leading secularist and humanist.
To be eligible for this Award, applicants must ordinarily reside in Australia during the four (4) years preceding the closing date for the submission of entries. The Award is open to practising sculptors who fall into one of the following categories:
- SCA alumni
- currently enrolled SCA postgraduate research candidates
- current full-time and part-time members of academic staff of Sydney College of the Arts
