The Fauvette Loureiro Memorial Artists Travel Scholarship

Sydney College of the Arts (SCA) invites all recent graduates to apply for a scholarship offering $28,000 towards study or development of their art practice through a program of travel. Applicants must have graduated from SCA within the past four years*.

The scholarship is not open to currently enrolled or deferred students. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of an application and visual documentation of recent work. Five finalists will be selected by a jury of SCA academic staff and an external member being a highly respected practising artist, or art critic, gallery director or recognized member of an established art or cultural organization for an exhibition in the SCA Galleries during September. This year the scholarship will provide an exhibition fee of $1000 to each finalist selected.

The scholarship celebrates the bequest of the late Renee Erdos, a graduate of The University of Sydney. The scholarship was established in memory of her mother Fauvette Loureiro, the eldest daughter of artist Arthur Loureiro.
