Future visual arts students
Sydney College of the Arts offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in contemporary visual art for future students.
Future undergraduate students include students who have completed their NSW Higher Certificate or equivalent and people of any age who wish to study visual arts at a tertiary level. The Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA) is three-year undergraduate program for those wishing to establish a practice in the contemporary visual arts.
Future Honours students have completed three years of an undergraduate visual arts degree. The Honours program is a one-year research-intensive program that consolidates professional practice and prepares students for further research study.
Future postgraduate students include artists, filmmakers, photographers, digital artists, designers or educators who have a first degree or equivalent qualifications and are interested in extending their professional practice through research or coursework degrees offered through the SCA Graduate School.
Electives may be available to students enrolled in other undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
Specialist short courses are sometimes available.
