Applications for University of Sydney Access Scholarships are now open!

For: Students with a good academic record who have been disadvantaged financially.
Value: $6,000 p.a. in 2010.
Duration: Length of degree.
Application Due: Close 30 November 2009 Closing date extended!.

We know that students who overcome disadvantage can achieve excellent results at university, especially with support from the University. Access Scholarships assist academically gifted students with demonstrated financial disadvantage to pursue their tertiary education. If you are currently financially disadvantaged (for example, if you are receiving Youth Allowance or some other means-tested Commonwealth benefit), if you have financial difficutlies due to a disability or other disadvantage, or if you expect to be financially disadvantaged whilst at the University, we recommend you apply through 'UAC's Equity Scholarships' application. You can apply at any stage of your degree, and they are available for any undergraduate degree.

There will be 160 Access Scholarships offered at the University in 2010.
