Election of graduate Fellows of Senate

Those listed below have been declared elected as Graduate Fellows of Senate for a four year term of office to commence on 1 December 2009 and conclude on 30 November 2013:

Senate meeting on 2 November 2009

A selection of decisions made by Senate in the open session at the November meeting:

  • Senate approved the following new Committee structure from 2010:
    — Buildings and Estates Committee
    — Chair Appointments Committee
    — Finance and Audit Committee
    — Human Resources Committee
    — Investment and Commercialisation Committee
    — Nominations and Appointments Committee
    — Safety and Risk Management Committee
  • Senate endorsed the Academic Board’s approval of proposals with effect from 2010:
    — to offer the Master of Education (Educational Management and Leadership) in Singapore
    — to introduce the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Trials Practice.
    — to amend the Master of Professional Engineering
    — to amend the Master of Philosophy
    — to amend the Constitution of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery
  • Senate resolved to record its formal appreciation for and note in detail the contribution made by retiring Fellows of Senate Dr Robin Fitzsimons, Mr Tom Kavanagh, Ms Kate Laing, Ms Irene Moss AO, Emeritus Professor Ann Sefton AO and Mr Adam Spencer.
  • Senate noted the report of the Vice-Chancellor.
  • Senate noted the schedule of dates for the 2010 graduation ceremonies approved by the Registrar under delegated authority.
