Tables and lists

The following abbreviations are acceptable in tables and lists where space is at a premium:

• Prof for Professor
• Assoc Prof for Associate Professor
• UOS or Uos or uos for units of study
• CP or cp for credit points
• % for per cent
• & for and

Shortened forms of Australian state names (NSW, Vic, Qld, WA, SA, Tas, ACT, NT) can be also used in tables or lists where space is limited. Similarly, USA and UK can be used in place of the United States of America and the United Kingdom.

For indexes and other alphabetical lists, use word-by-word order (rather than letter-by-letter order). That is, education policy precedes educational aspects.
