Transferring
Another option available to you is to complete one year of tertiary study in another degree and then apply to transfer to your degree of choice. This requires that you reapply through UAC and you are usually re-assessed on the basis of both your tertiary record and your UAI.
It is important to remember that, if you take this option, entry into your desired course will still be highly competitive. We advise that you talk to the Admissions Office first to determine what level of grades and UAI they normally expect from a transfer applicant.
Also, it is very important that the first degree you choose is one that you are happy to continue if your transfer application is not successful.
