Book tips
- Make sure that you know when all your library books are due back. You can check and renew your loans online. If you've got a lot of overdue books, the fines add up.
- Don't buy any textbooks until you've started your lectures and you know exactly what you need. The queues at the Co-op are long and the books aren't about to run out... Besides, you might not even need all the recommended texts. The second-hand bookshop is a hidden secret.
- Lines at the Copy Centre can be atrocious in the first few weeks of classes. Save yourself the trouble of waiting in line and pay for your books over the net through your Unikey account or by credit card (if you have one). This will save you hours of monotonous waiting time!
- Second hand book sales and the second hand book store (Wentworth) are really good places to save money on texts. Make sure that you get the right edition though.
