School Holiday Programs

Vacation care services provide care, including creative indoor and outdoor activities during the school holidays for primary school children.

Sydney Uni Sports & Fitness

Sydney Uni Sports & Fitness in conjunction with Camp Australia conduct multi sports camps for children aged 6-16 years during school holidays (coinciding with semester breaks). The camps are designed to encourage all children to participate in a variety of sports. Some sports included are hockey, netball, basketball, tennis, cricket, soccer, swimming, water-polo and multi-sport.

NSW Sport and Recreation

NSW Sport and Recreation is a state government department assisting the people of NSW to participate in sports and recreation. The Department’s website has a ‘holiday ideas’ section that lists kids holiday camps, ideas for family getaways as well as day activities for kids and teenagers.

Local Schools Vacation Programs

YMCA School Holiday Camps/Vacation Care programs

The YMCA is a not for profit organization that provides services to all ages, genders, races and religions. The YMCA holds holiday camps and vacation activities at different YMCA centres over Sydney.

Department of Community Services

The DOCS website has a School Holiday Parent Kit, which looks at things such as tackling holiday stress, child safety as well as ideas of activities to keep children active and entertained during the school holidays.
