Orientation

The Orientation Program offers you valuable information about the services and resources of the University. It also gives you an opportunity to meet staff, other students and enjoy social activities.

It is essential that you attend your Orientation Program as it will give you information, and answer many of the questions you have, about Sydney and the University.

Main campus and Cumberland campus offer different programs for their students. Please click on the link that applies to you:

Orientation (Main Campus students only)

The Orientation Program on main campus provides students with essential information about living and studying in Sydney. This includes:

  • Enrolment process
  • Student organizations
  • Sporting facilities
  • Safety and security
  • Transport around Sydney
  • Libraries
  • Services for students
  • Health cover
  • Adjusting to Sydney life

There are two sessions:

Study Abroad and Exchange Students
Starts: Monday 20 July, 9.00am in the The Great Hall, Main Quadrangle,
Continues: Monday 20 - Tuesday 21 July in the Eastern Ave Auditorium.

Starts: Wednesday 22 July, 9.00am The Great Hall, Main Quadrangle,

Study Preparation Program (Cumberland campus students only)

The Study Preparation Program is designed to assist Cumberland students in settling into their new campus and lifestyle.

The program will introduce you to many of the general and academic staff and also gives you a chance to meet other students. Information provided throughout the program includes:

  • Enrolment
  • Using the library
  • Academic reading and writing
  • Referencing

It is essential that all new Cumberland students attend the program.
Dates for Semester 2 are: 16 to 22 July 2009.
