    RETIREMENT: Professor Douglas M SAUNDERS
    On January 31st, 2003, Prof Saunders retired from the Headship of the Academic Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

    NIH has provided $ 2.5 million over 5 years, to Australian rsearchers, to investigate links between contraception and menstrual bleeding. Collaborators in the Asutralian joint venture include Sydney Centre fo Reproductive Health Research - joint initiative between University of Sydney and Family Planning Association Health - University of Western Australia, Royal Women's Hospital (Melbourne), University of Queensland and Prince Henry's Institute for Medical Research (Melbourne).
