I am currently the AV cataloguer with the Sydney Conservatorium Library, a college library within the University.
I began working in libraries in the Royal Botanic Gardens library, then went to the Acquistions Dept of the State Library of NSW, in both collection development for the Mitchell, and ordering for the General Reading Room. I spent 13 years in Papua New Guinea, working in mostly as a consultant bibliographer, an executive officer with a university Foundation and then with the University of Papua New Guinea's Waigani Seminar (a biennial international conference). I also worked as a fund-raiser for some organisations, and ran a school canteen. After a short term job with the Australian Broadcasting Tribunal Library, I have been with the Conservatorium Library since my return to Australia. Here I have worked in almost all areas at one time or another, at various levels.

Pearl Rozenberg studied law and science at university and has maintained an interest in both areas. She has been admitted to practice law as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Law Society of Upper Canada and has worked for large multinational and domestic law firms.
Pearl is a lecturer in the Faculty of Economics and Business and has previously taught at the University of Melbourne, Deakin University and University of New South Wales. Her areas of specialty include commercial law, banking, finance and insolvency law and legal issues dealing with eCommerce. She has published books and numerous journal articles within her research areas as well as a series on research, teaching and citation of Internet resources.
Pearl has particular expertise in teaching using technology. She has won a University of Sydney Teaching Excellence Award for the use of technology with teaching and has been invited to speak at teaching showcases and national and international conferences dealing with teaching and the Internet.
Pearl has four daughters and an organic garden. In the spare time available when she is not teaching and researching, she sews sequins on to ballet outfits and can produce a model of Captain Cook's ship overnight.
Pearl wishes a mentoring program had been available when she was a new academic. Now that she has developed skills, she would like to help others.

Profile:
I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of French Studies, and Program Director of International and Comparative Literary Studies in the School of Languages and Cultures (SLC) in the Faculty of Arts.
My research could broadly be described as falling within transnational feminist studies, and is interdisciplinary. It covers areas such as the Francophone and Muslim worlds, human rights, war and globalisation, and radical feminist and lesbian theories and politics.
I co-convene the “Islam and the West” Research cluster in the Faculty of Arts, and am on the organising committee of the 2008 conference of the Law and Society Association of Australia and New Zealand, to be held at the University in December.
My teaching is also interdisciplinary and transnational, and is primarily although not exclusively focused on history, politics, cultures, societies and cultural production of France and the postcolonial French-speaking world.
I also have a background in theatre and dance and have trained foreign-language adult-education teachers.
I am currently Associate Dean and Chair of the Undergraduate Matters Committee in the Faculty of Arts, and was on the University's Academic Board for five years. I am a member of the Research Development Group in SLC, where I co-convene a grant application peer mentoring group. In my former capacity as NTEU branch president, I sat on the Equity Advisory, Disability, EO and Women in Leadership Committees, as well as other staff-management committees dealing with workplace matters.
I offer knowledge of the institution and its policies and procedures.
I value honesty and integrity, and favour a cooperative and collegial rather than individualistic ethos.
