Alumni scholarships

We aim to create as many scholarships as possible in the next few years, with a focus on academically bright students in acute financial need. Your contribution to this mission will go directly to the students in question, and help relieve the more extreme economic pressures they face daily. Scholarships assist students with payment for rent, textbooks, commuting to University and food. Recipients will be free to study more, and focus on academic achievement.

Beyond this, a scholarship is also a validation of a student’s ability, and the recipient is offered a sense of recognition which encourages not only a greater sense of self-confidence, but a genuine determination to strive for excellence in their academic study. The experience of receiving a scholarship for a disadvantaged student can, quite literally, be transformational.

Sports scholarships

The University has a long tradition of sporting excellence with an honour role of past and present students that includes Wallabies, international cricketers, and over 100 Olympians.

Studying at University places pressure on a students time and finances. Combining sporting aspirations with study and paid employment can be difficult to manage. Without assistance academic and sporting results often suffer.

Your donation to sports scholarships can help relieve some of the financial pressure on our most promising sportsmen and sportswomen while rewarding their sporting and academic endeavours.
