The delivery of a differentiated Student Experience is one of the pillars of the University's strategic plan, aiming to offer students a rich and comprehensive university experience. Increasing student satisfaction and continually improving the effectiveness and accessibility of administrative and student support services is core to the Student Experience.
Following a series of reviews, in 2007 the University took the decision to discontinue further investment in the FlexSIS student administration platform, and commence the acquisition of a commercial package solution.
Sydney Student (formerly known as FSAP) was initiated to manage the acquisition and implementation of a replacement system as well as developing improvements to student administration business processes that will maximise the value of the technology investment.
Sydney Student is a joint initiative of the Education portfolio and Information Communications Technology (ICT). Its dual ownership emphasises the important role that both people and technology play in achieving excellence in student administration outcomes.
