Performance management & development

The University's Performance Management and Development (PM&D) program applies to all staff at the University - full-time and part-time staff on continuing appointments and staff on fixed-term contracts of a period greater than 12 months.

The objectives of the program are to:

  • plan your performance consistent with the strategic goals of the University
  • gain a good understanding and definition of roles, responsibilities, capability and anticipated achievements through self-assessment and feedback
  • improve the effectiveness of communication between you and your supervisor
  • plan professional development and support for performance
  • assist you to realise their potential, achieve your aspirations and recognise excellence
  • promote the development and maintenance of a positive, productive and harmonious work environment
  • develop mutual trust, respect and understanding between you and your supervisor.
