Dr. Craig Symes

Craig Symes is currently responsible for negotiating commercial contracts between the University and clients. Prior to commencing at Sydnovate in 2000, Craig was Administration Officer in the (then) Department of Mechanical Engineering at this University.

Craig was General Manager (1997-1998) for Handelsons Pty Ltd with purchase/sales contract responsibility in the injection (plastic) moulding industry. He was Business Manager and Director (1979-1996) for purchasing/sales contracts, marketing, design, costing, quality documentation and regulatory approvals (TGA, FDA) for machined components from surgical stainless steel and titanium for the medical implant (prosthetics) industry with Russell Symes and Co. Pty Ltd and its export arm, Titanium Medical Components Pty Ltd.

His earlier commercial experience (1970-1974) at Symes Engineering Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yorkshire Imperial Pty Ltd, included factory-floor planning and management for the manufacture of machined components for petroleum and liquefied natural gas application.
