Material Transfer Agreement (MTA)

An MTA is an agreement governing the transfer of material between two organisations usually for the purposes of research and/or evaluation.

The University is also a signatory to the Universal Biological Materials Agreement (UBMTA), thus making it possible to exchange materials with other UBMTA signatories using an UBMTA Implementing Letter.

Sending University Owned Materials To Another Organisation

The University's standard "out-bound" MTA is used when the University transfers material to another party.
Please fill out the Outbound MTA Request Form, sign and return it to Sydnovate.

Requesting And Receiving Materials From Another Organisation

Please fill out the Incoming MTA Request Form before you receive Materials or order materials from another University or organisation.

Before signing any MTA or opening packaged materials required for your research please contact Sydnovate via phone +61 2 9351 4000, Fax +61 2 9351 3636 or email sydnovate@usyd.edu.au and our staff will be happy to discuss your individual requirements.
