Activities
There are many different types of activities you might find on your My eLearning site, such as:
- Quizzes
- Group work
- Presentations
- Whiteboard
- Surveys
It's important to be aware of when these activities are scheduled, but it can also be very helpful to ask yourself (or your lecturer) what is supposed to be gained from these activities. Are they:
- designed to give you feedback on how you're going?
- for you to demonstrate a proficiency in something?
- provided to give you a particular kind of experience (e.g. within a professional setting)?
- for you to acquire a particular skill?
You might also want to ask you lecturer:
- Is this activity compulsory?
- When will we be doing it?
- What is its purpose?
- What can I hope to get out of doing it?
- How will I be assessed on this activity?
Some, but not all, units of study require students to submit assignments through the unit's eLearning site. If that is the case for your unit of study, make sure you know how to use this tool before you have to submit your assignment. For more information, look at our Guide on submitting assignments.
