Technical support
If you experience technical issues with the CMS you have a number of support options, which you should try in the following order:
- Contact your faculty/department webmaster. (If you don't know who this is, ask around!).
You local webmaster will be able to help you if you've forgotten how to do something, need to unlock files, and with routine technical issues. This is usually the quickest way to get issues resolved. - If your local webmaster can't help, or is unavailable, you can contact the ICT Helpdesk on telephone ext. 16000 or by email at .
Helpdesk operators are able to assist you with many frequently encountered CMS issues, and can escalate your issue if it can't be immediately resolved.
When contacting the ICT Helpdesk
Make sure you provide sufficient details to allow support to help you. This includes things like screenshots of error messages, URLs of pages you are having trouble with, which branch/web site you are working on, what your UniKey ID is.
Training
All users must complete a short training course before getting access to CMS. CMS training is provided by the Enterprise Application Training group.
To arrange training for an existing CMS website, please first contact your webmaster, as he or she will also need to arrange your access to the site in the CMS.
If you wish to be trained in the CMS for a new website, you can book your training online for author and approver training, and webmaster training.
