Events Calendar

The University is pleased to announce an updated calendar of events continuing its expanded overseas events, graduation and alumni program into 2009.

Ceremonies in 2009

The University plans to hold overseas graduation ceremonies and Alumni Reunion Receptions in 2009, in Singapore, Beijing and Guangzhou for graduates from the Pearl River Delta area (Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Macao):

Singapore – 16 September 2009 at 7pm
Beijing - 14 November 2009 at 2pm
Guangzhou – 16 November 2009 at 7pm

Students who have completed studies in 2008 or will complete studies at the end of Semester 1 2009 are encouraged to consider attendance at the Graduation ceremonies.

You are reminded that you can attend your graduation ceremony in the Great Hall at the University and also attend an overseas ceremony where you will be presented to the Chancellor in the company of your family and friends.

If you wish to attend one of these overseas ceremonies, follow the instructions in Registration of Interest below.

Alumni Reunion Receptions

Alumni Reunion Receptions will be held in association with Singapore, Beijing and Guangzhou Graduation Ceremonies.

The dates are as follows :–
European Alumni Receptions, 1 July 2009
UK Alumni Receptions, London 2 July 2009
North America Alumni Conference (SUGUNA), Los Angeles, 22-23 August 2009
Singapore, 17 September 2009 at 7pm
Beijing, 14 November 2009 at 6.30pm
Guangzhou, 17 November 2009 at 7pm

If you wish to attend one of these Alumni Reunion Receptions, follow the instructions in Registration of Interest below.

As the details of overseas events, graduation and alumni program in each city are different, to register interest click on the city in which you wish to participate.

Interested students and alumni are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

Once all details of the events are finalised, all who have registered interest will be contacted by email. Please note that there may be limits on the numbers who can attend these events. If interest exceeds the capacity of venues, those who register early will be given preference. There may be a small non refundable fee associated with attending any of these events. You will be advised in advance should this occur.

While the above events are planned to be held as outlined, there may be circumstances that occur during the planning of the events that amend the information provided here. Should this occur, an announcement will be made on this site, and all students/alumni who have registered interest will be notified by email.
